carobs...

{Giveaway here}

here on the fantastic finca
it remains rather hot
and the strange looking carobs
are ready to drop

This very morn handsome and I went to the local agricultural
cooperative to sell our hard picked carobs. 10 hours grappling
around in the heat and we managed to gather 90 kilos for
which we were paid the princely sum of 18.00 euros  or 90 cents
each per hour! It is hard economically to be a creative
and if it weren't for agricultural grants impossible to be a farmer.
Whilst our labour put little fodder on the table it gave us plenty
of food for thought.

We have carob trees here too, though the pods go unused since I doubt many people would know how to process them.

As a silver lover I have to say, those earring are very pretty.
